I've had quite a few requests to see the final project for Extreme Makeover: Home Addition, and here it is! It's not my "best" work, but unfortunately I just didn't have time to re-teach myself a whole new rendering program. Instead I used an easier software, built in autocad and rendered in sketch-up.
My project was a 13 year old girl who wants to grow up and work in the Cirque De Soliel. She loves birds, reading and is a master at the baton.
Anyway, a little bit about what you see...
-The 3 ladder bed helps her play, perform and show off her skills.
-The flooring is a foam/cork material, with the look of real wood, for safety reasons.
-In the south corner there is a trapeze bar with a foam pit underneath for safety. (the container holding the foam squares is foam as well.)
-In that same corner there are boxes forming a ladder (this helps her get to the bar) but they are actually clear plexi boxes holding her award winning batons.
-In the next corner there is a swing in the shape of a bird, underneath there is floor pillows, for safety and for her love of reading.
-The other birds are just decoration.
Another side view. This show cases the trapeze and the foam pit, the desk under the bunk bed and her wall of "Award winning" Batons in plexi cases. (which doubles as a ladder to the trapeze.)
Close-up of the bunk bed. Triple ladders so she can showcase her skills of climbing and performing.
A view of the room straight on (again with the opaque wall and doorway for ease of viewing) This view showcases the bird swing and bird decorations.
Plan View, this showcases the faux wood flooring, that is actually made out of a foam/cork material. It's softer on the feet and a little more cushion in case there is a fall.
Thanks for everyone's support and prayers...;)
